Rocky G

Rocky G grew up in
Laredo, Texas. Born in October 13, he soon grew up
to witness his parent’s divorce around the age of 4.
He lived only with his mom, moving around to different apartments
here and there and at times, they both lived with his
grandparents, who of course graciously took them in
and kept a roof over their heads. As he got older
he got interested in music, which began
with none other than Slim Shady AKA Eminem. The first
CD he owned which he bought was “The Marshall Mathers”
and it showed him the flow and the way you could move people
with just words. He soon started listening to other rapper’s
such as Chamillionaire, Bowwow, Snoop Dogg, and his
three other inspirations: 50 Cent, The Game, and T.I.
He listened more and more and began listening, paying
close attention to the beats of the songs and seeing
how other rappers flowed to a certain beat, whether they
went at it hard, emotionally, or showing how life
can be with all the fame and money. He also had a small interest in
writing his own poems which might’ve seemed like a “chick” thing
but he knew it would help him out with his rhymes and
keeping timing. In middle school he wrote a small rap which he showed to
some of his friends, they loved it though it didn’t become some huge
deal, but he knew he had a talent for it and things would turn for the
better once he had the right equipment for the job. Starting out as a freshman in highschool, he now had some of the right equipment and began recording his music and soon learned to make some beats using
the famous “Fruity Loops Studio”. He knows that to make it
you have to keep on going, and never give up on your
dreams because when you give up on dreams, you giving
up what you want most in life and once you get to that point
where you know your living your dream with all the fame and doing
what you love most, you’ll truly be happy.
